Buyers often search by BPH, but useful line planning connects speed to efficiency, shift time, bottle size and every upstream and downstream module.

Match capacity to demand, shifts and expansion

These bands are conversation starters, not universal machine specifications. Bottle size, beverage process and packaging method can move a project into a different configuration.

2,000-6,000 BPH

Useful for smaller demand, more manual downstream work or a compact first project. Check labor, pack handling and future expansion before fixing the layout.

8,000-18,000 BPH

Often requires tighter speed matching, dependable bottle and cap supply, automatic labeling and packing, plus clearer utility planning.

24,000 BPH and above

Needs stronger integration around accumulation, inspection, automated packing, data visibility, utility stability and commissioning performance tests.

Product preparation

Can water treatment, mixing, heating, carbonation, cooling or storage tanks feed the planned hours continuously?

Container supply

Can the PET blow molder, bottle unscrambler, glass washer or can depalletizer support the required speed and format range?

Filling and closing

Is the rated speed stated for your product, container size, fill temperature, cap or can end?

Labeling and coding

Confirm label material, code position, inspection and changeover speed, not only the labeler headline speed.

Packing and palletizing

Check shrink pack, tray, carton, handle, case and pallet pattern requirements against the line speed.

Utilities and operators

Verify power, compressed air, high-pressure air, water, steam, cooling, drainage and staffing assumptions.

Bottling line capacity questions buyers ask

What does BPH mean on a filling line?

BPH means bottles per hour. It is normally a rated speed under defined bottle, product and operating conditions, so it should not be treated as guaranteed saleable output.

How do I estimate real daily bottling output?

Multiply rated BPH by expected line efficiency and scheduled production hours. Then check whether bottle blowing, filling, labeling, packing and utilities can support the same plan.

Should every machine have exactly the same rated speed?

Not necessarily. Line design may use speed margins, accumulation and control logic to prevent one module from stopping the full line. The required margin depends on the equipment and operating plan.

What information is needed to select line capacity?

Share bottle or can size, product, target daily and monthly volume, shift pattern, package format, factory space, utility limits and expected future growth.
