Bottling Line Equipment List and Supply Scope Builder

A complete bottling line equipment list records each process block, its interface and its supply status. Use the checklist below to distinguish equipment to quote, retained or buyer-supplied items, options and unresolved requirements before comparing proposals.

Turnkey Bottling Line Equipment List

List equipment by function and connection

Block Typical equipment to evaluate Interface that often needs a separate line item
Water/product preparation Treatment, storage, ingredient handling, mixing and the selected product process. Source-water or ingredient inlet and the specified product condition delivered to filling.
Container supply Bottle loading, PET blowing, bottle washing or can depalletizing as applicable. Transfer to filling, approved format parts, air/cooling and empty-container rejects.
Filling and closing Product-compatible filler with capper or seamer and the specified container preparation. Product supply/return, closure feed, cleaning connections and inspection.
Coding and inspection Code application, fill/closure/label checks and the specified reject functions. Reject confirmation, collection and traceability through packing.
Labeling and packing Matched label application, film/tray/carton equipment and any required drying or thermal handling. Pack formation, material replenishment, conveyors and finished-pack transfer.
Line conveying Container and pack transfer with the agreed accumulation and controls. Machine signals, stops/restarts, height/direction and shared guarding responsibilities.
Cleaning and utilities Defined cleaning circuits, air, cooling, heating, water, CO2 and electrical services where needed. Generation versus distribution, connection points, return lines and drainage.
Installation and handover Agreed installation tasks, acceptance tests, training, documentation and spares. Local labor, lifting, consumables, test materials and closure of open items.

This is a planning checklist, not a universal bill of materials. A still-water line, pulpy-juice line and carbonated-can line will require different equipment within these blocks. Keep the approved product and package requirements beside the list.

Use supply statuses that expose unanswered items

For every block, distinguish “Request in quotation,” “Buyer supplied / retained,” “Price as option,” “Applicability to review” and “Out of scope — confirm impact.” The last two are open decisions, not evidence that a module can safely be omitted.

A retained treatment system, compressor or packer still needs a documented usable output, interface and integration owner. A supplier’s machine list is incomplete when it stops at the machine flange but does not assign the connecting pipe, cable or conveyor.

Equipment-list field Useful entry
Identification Module name and proposed model/reference, with quantity.
Performance basis Approved product/package and accepted output under stated conditions.
Interfaces Inlet/outlet conditions, utilities, control signals and cleaning coverage.
Supply and installation Included items, exclusions, connection boundary and responsible parties.
Evidence Drawing revision, trial or inspection requirement, documents and open questions.

Build a supply-scope brief

Enter the project basis and choose a status for each block. Generate a text brief, review it, then copy it into your RFQ. The tool organizes your entries; it does not select or approve equipment. The tool does not submit entries or save them for later visits.

Use a positive whole number, or leave blank if unconfirmed. This is your requested output, not a calculated machine rating.

Requested supply status for each block

Complete the project basis, then generate your brief.

Enable JavaScript to generate the brief, or use the equipment table above to prepare the same information manually.

Review the brief against the complete production route

Before sending the RFQ, follow the product and package from receiving to the agreed finished-pack handoff. Check that every transfer has an owner and that each out-of-scope item has an impact review. Attach the relevant drawings and mark unconfirmed information as provisional.

When proposals return, compare them against the same list. Ask suppliers to show deviations explicitly instead of silently changing the reference bottle, removing a process step or shifting site work to the buyer. Record the response and close each open item before the configuration is finalized.

Frequently asked questions

Does the scope builder recommend a machine model?

No. It creates a text brief from the project basis and supply statuses you choose. Equipment selection and compatibility still require a technical review.

Does the tool send my project information?

No. The tool generates text in this browser and only copies it to the clipboard when you press Copy brief. It does not submit your entries or store them for later visits.

Can I exclude equipment I already own?

Mark it buyer supplied or retained, then document its condition, usable performance, interface and integration responsibility. Excluding a purchase does not remove the need to verify the connection.
