Beverage Factory Layout Checklist

Layout Questions

A simple layout drawing can prevent many quotation and installation mistakes.

Area Questions to confirm
Raw material and water Where do water, ingredients, caps, labels and film enter the plant?
Production flow Can bottles move from blowing to filling to packing without crossing dirty areas?
Utilities Where are power, compressed air, water, steam, cooling and drains located?
Maintenance Is there space around machines for cleaning and parts replacement?
Warehouse Where will empty containers and finished products be stored?

Decision Points

Use these points to clarify scope before comparing suppliers.

  • Share building length, width and ceiling height
  • Mark doors, drains, columns and utility points
  • Reserve space for compressors, treatment tanks and packing materials
  • Do not place packing before confirming bottle flow
