PET Preform and Bottle Qualification Trial Guide
A PET package is an engineered system connecting preform, neck finish, resin and color, heating profile, mold, blowing conditions, bottle geometry, handling, fill process, closure, label, secondary pack and distribution duty. A bottle that looks acceptable when empty can still deform, scuff, leak, jam or lose stability during production and logistics.
The qualification plan should control samples and revisions, state which supplier provides each component and test the complete operating window. Separate preform and bottle conformance, blower process development, line handling, filled-package performance and long-term product-package validation.
